The hero of the match was Francisco Dorronsoro. There were numerous occasions when he came to the rescue of Delhi. If Josef Gombau had to thank anyone for the one point that they earned, it has to be to this 33 year old Spaniard.
Delhi have been the only team in this ISL to utilize the services of a foreign custodian. Other teams choose to use the foreign quality on the field while opting for Indian goalkeepers. This strategy of Delhi to have an experienced custodian as their final defence did pay dividends as Francisco Dorronsoro was top notch with his positioning and saves.
If Delhi can sort out their issue of scoring goals, they can be a threat to the opposition with their decent defensive setup and a quality custodian.
