C.K. Vineeth in action

What's the story?

Kerala Blasters' midfield superstar CK Vineeth has yet again shown that he is not only a great footballer but also a great person. Vineeth, who is known for his humility, asked his team to host free football camps for children in the summer.

In case you didn't know...

Vineeth was in the headlines not too far back, when he wrote 'nil' in the religion column on his son's birth certificate. His move was later-on repeated by 1.25 lakh students, ranging from class 1 to 10. The students left the religion and caste columns blank in their admission forms.

The heart of the matter

CK Vineeth has once again proven why he is one of the most loved and revered Indian footballers. Vineeth had gone for the inauguration of the Kerala Blasters' summer camp in Malappuram.

Around 400 kids were present for this event, along with their parents. The children were from nine centres in the district and enjoyed some fun time with the footballing superstar.

Vineeth would then go on to request Kerala Blasters to host the training camp free of cost. He believes the game is free and as a result, no one should have to incur any sort of expenditure to have the basic right to play.

Vineeth's move yet again proves that the Keralite is not only a great footballer, but is a great human being as well.

What's next?

Something as small as playing a game of football should be a basic right for any kid and more clubs and players should make sure that the same happens in the future.

Author's take

Vineeth's latest step towards free training to kids could have a huge effect. It is a nice move as well if you look at the human aspects of it. CK Vineeth is a huge favourite with India's footballing fraternity and with actions such as these, there can be no questioning his popularity.
