Match 51 of ISL 2017/18 will see NorthEast United take on Chennaiyin FC. Chennaiyin FC are coming to this game on the back of a win while NorthEast United will look to do better than their last match which they lost. Chennaiyin FC will look for a win to maintain their top spot in the league table.

Goalkeeper

Karanjit Singh: The Chennaiyin FC shot-stopper has been in fine form helping his team register one of the best defensive records of ISL 2017/18. With NorthEast United struggling for goals, Karanjit has a good chance of extending his clean sheet count.

Defenders

Nirmal Chettri: The Bhaichung Bhutia soccer school product has impressed with his rugged defensive performances so far. Nirmal has attempted 31 tackles, the most by a NorthEast United player. His ability to get up and down the flanks means he can also pop up with attacking returns.

Jose Goncalves: The Portuguese has been NorthEast United’s best defender leading by example. The experienced defender has also been a threat on the set pieces due to his big frame. He has made the most interceptions by a NorthEast United defender so far.

Sereno: Sereno has already scored once and also assisted once. The Super Machans captain’s aerial prowess means he is also a threat in the opposition box and can contribute both defensively and in the attacking third.

Jerry Lalrinzuala: The 19-year-old produced a fine performance in Chennaiyin FC’s win against FC Pune City. Last season’s emerging player impressed with his energy going forward. Jerry’s potential at both ends makes him a must pick for your fantasy teams.

Midfielders

Marcinho: Marcinho has impressed with his ability to skip away from opposition challenges and to dictate play. He is arguably one of the best players to have featured in NorthEast United’s underwhelming campaign so far. He has contributed in three out of the four goals that NorthEast United have scored so far.

Gregory Nelson: Gregory Nelson scored a fine goal running onto a pass and cutting inside the defender before slotting past the keeper against FC Pune City in the last match. He has made a positive impact so far impressing with his energy and pace.

Augusto: Augusto proved his class coming on as a substitute and providing the assist for Gregory Nelson’s winner against FC Pune City. Augusto's class and quality combined with NorthEast United’s poor defensive record means Augusto is a must pick for your teams.

Doungel: Doungel is one of the three players to have scored a goal for NorthEast United so far. The 24-year-old has impressed with his energy and work rate, he has attempted 17 tackles, the most by a NorthEast United midfielder.

Forwards

Danilo: The Brazilian forward has shown glimpses of his undoubted potential by scoring and assisting once but despite him attempting the second most number of shots in this season, the end results have been underwhelming. The former Santos youth product is blessed with decent technique and is able to escape the grasp of the defenders with neat footwork.

Jeje: Jeje didn’t score in Chennaiyin FC’s last match but the 'Mizo Sniper' has netted six goals so far and is the highest scorer for the 'Super Machans'. The 26-year-old will look to score and join Sunil Chhetri as the top Indian goal-scorer this season.
