The 8th match of ISL 2017 will see Mumbai City FC take on FC Goa. Goa are coming on the back of a brilliant performance against Chennaiyin FC, while Mumbai City FC are coming on the back of a defeat against Bengaluru FC.

With the two sides looking to get the three points in this West Coast Derby, let's take a look at the players you could pick for your fantasy ISL team.

Goalkeeper

Amrinder Singh: Amrinder Singh’s Mumbai conceded two goals in their opening match against Bengaluru FC. Amrinder plays the next match against FC Goa at home where Mumbai conceded just 3 goals and kept 4 clean sheets last season.

Defenders

Lucian Goian: The Romanian was perhaps the only one from Mumbai’s opening match to emerge with some credit. The best defender of ISL 2016 was his usual committed self. He attempted 11 tackles to go with his 7 interceptions. His all-action style means Goian should be a must pick for your fantasy teams.

Gerson Vieira: The robust defender played as a midfielder due to Leo Costa’s injury and looked a bit uncomfortable. He is expected to return to the defence ahead of Mumbai’s home match with F.C Goa. Gerson’s aerial ability means that he can also pop up with attacking points.

Bruno Pinheiro: Bruno Pinheiro produced a busy display in FC Goa’s opening match. He attempted 6 tackles. Bruno also took a few free kicks boosting his attacking potential. Bruno’s potential at both the ends means he can be expected to score few points.

Narayan Das: The Tata Football Academy Product made a steady start in the new ISL season. The Indian national team’s left back’s attacking tendency will serve him well in an FC Goa team that primarily plays an offensive game.

Midfielders

Brandon Fernandes: The 23-year-old winger impressed for his home town team, providing the assist for FC Goa’s first goal. He also came close to scoring attempting 4 shots, joint most by an FC Goa player. The young winger is also renowned for his set pieces.

Ahmed Jahouh: The Moroccon midfielder produced a complete midfield display, dictating play and also breaking oppositions attack effectively. He attempted 75 passes, the most by any FC Goa player. The 29-year-old midfielder also attempted 11 tackles, which was the most by an FC Goa player. Ahmed Jahouh is a must-pick for your fantasy teams due to his ability to score points despite not scoring goals due to his passing and tackling ability.

Abhinash Ruidas: The young winger is a threat for any defence due to his pace and trickery. The 23-year-old didn’t enjoy the best of matches against Bengaluru. But with Mumbai City FC playing in front of their home crowd, they will go on the attack and Ruidas will be expected to be in the thick of action.

Manuel Lanzarote Bruno: Bruno made his ISL debut with a superb performance against Chennaiyin F.C scoring the 2nd goal and assisting the first goal. The Spaniard was FC Goa’s primary threat attempting 4 shots. The 33-year-old also set up his teammates on a couple of occasions.

Mandar Rao Desai: Mandar Rao Desai started the ISL 2017 campaign in superb fashion, scoring once and also assisting one goal. The 23-year old’s pace and trickery proved too hot to handle for Chennai’s defenders. Mandar’s 3 shots on target were the most by any FC Goa player.

Forwards

Coro: Coro started his ISL campaign with a fine finish against Chennaiyin FC. The Spaniard attempted 2 shots, and both were on target. He also created 3 goal-scoring opportunities for his team mates. With FC Goa going on the attack Coro will get plenty of opportunities to get on the scoresheet.
