The end of 2012 is going to be a crucial time for football lovers from all over India, especially for Mohan Bagan fans, as today AIFF (All India Football Federation) is going to give its verdict on the Kolkata derby match conflict. As per the latest news, AIFF will give his verdict on this issue before today noon, in the presence of AIFF president Praful Patel and all the members of the core committee.

Earlier, it was expected that the verdict might come on December 24, as on that day AIFF appointed a single committee member of former Supreme Court judge Ashok Kumar Ganguly started the judgment procedure in the presence of Mohan Bagan officials. But he gave his verdict later on 27th. Within this period, AIFF president Praful Patel had a short meeting with the members of AIFF’s core committee. On December 27, it has been reported from the AIFF that today, in the presence of the honorable president, the verdict will be given.

Meanwhile, some sources of AIFF are saying that president Praful Patel might be not able to join the verdict meeting as now he is in Mumbai on some urgent work. “The chance of his presence is 50-50”, said one of the AIFF officials. Right now, no one from the core committee is willing to take the post of secretary. Vice president Subrata Dutta is also trying to avoid the post of secretary.

“Both the teams are from Bengal. Being a person from Bengal, I do not want to take the job of secretary.” Dutta told.

As per the latest report, A.R.Khalil might take the job of secretary in today’s meeting.

On the other hand, regarding this verdict issue, Mohun Bagan players and fans are quite nervous, because if the verdict comes against them, then Mohun Bagan might not be able to take part in the I-League for the rest of the season and also in the upcoming one or two seasons.
