Michel Platini 'hurt' by questioning over World Cup 2022 corruption allegations
The investigation ordered by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) into the conditions for the award of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar led, on Tuesday 18 June, to the detention of Michel Platini, the former president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

This police custody was lifted on Wednesday, June 19, before 1 a.m. No charges were brought against the former number 10 of Les Bleus after some 15 hours of hearings.
