Despite the social media scandal involving midfielder Amr Warda, Egypt trained in a peaceful atmosphere on Tuesday on the eve of their 2019 AFCON Group A clash with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Warda is accused of online harassment by Egyptian-British model Merhan Keller after a series of messages the player sent her.
The story has shaken the tranquillity of the host nation squad, who have opened their AFCON campaign with a 1-0 victory over Zimbabwe.
The Democratic Republic of Congo, on the other hand, have lost 2-0 to Uganda 2-0 in their previous match.
