Mohun Bagan will try to improve their nightmarish start in their I-League campaign. Having been able to secure only 2 points from the 4 matches they have played, they will be looking to clinch full points against Salgaocar in a home match this coming Wednesday.

Mohun Bagan lost their last match 1-2 to Sporting Clube De Goa on Saturday. Mohun Bagan looked as if they were helpless having lost their two big guns Odafa Okolie due to injury and Anyichie due to suspension. The midfield looked was not co-ordinated and their striker Eric Muranda missed two easy chances in the early stages of the first half, though he pulled back one goal in the second half with the help of a penalty.

The Kolkata club will face Salgaocar who are currently at the top of the I-League table with 10 points from 4 matches. Meanwhile, Bagan are lying in the bottom half of the table and will try to make use of the home advantage as much as possible. Odafa is likely to be fit for the Salgaocar match will be an additional boost to the green and maroon brigade.
