Reaction after Roma beat Real Madrid 5-4 on penalties in their pre season friendly
Zinedine Zidane said on Sunday that Real Madrid are ready to start the new season, ahead of their La Liga opener against Celta Vigo next Saturday.

Speaking after a 2-2 draw with Roma, which the Spanish side lost 5-4 on a penalty shoot out - 7-6 overall - the Madrid coach insisted that he still considers both James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale part of his team.

Madrid are looking to overhaul their squad after a disappointing season in which they were out of contention for any major title several weeks before the end of the campaign.

Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca said he was pleased with the Giallorossi's performance and reiterated that Edin Dzeko is still a Roma player, despite speculations the Bosnian forward might join Inter Milan before the end of the transfer window.
