Organiser All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) of the 2nd South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U16 Championship held the draw of the championship on 19 July 2013, Friday at Kathmandu, Nepal.
India is drawn in Group B with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, while defending champions Pakistan are in Group A with Nepal, Bhutan, and Afghanistan. Nepal will face Bhutan in the opening match of the championship on July 20, 2013 at Dasarath Stadium at 4 pm. Top two teams of the group will qualify for the semifinals.
The 2nd SAFF U16 Championship features teams from seven countries in South Asia — hosts Nepal, along with India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Afghanistan. Maldives pulled out of the championship. The matches will be played at the Dasarath Stadium and Nepal Army Ground at Kathmandu, Nepal.
