SAFF Women's Cup 2014: Indian Women rout Sri Lanka 5-0; breeze into final

Riding on a brace from Indumathi, the Indian Women's national team breezed into the final of the SAFF Women's Cup final when they blanked Sri Lanka 5-0 in the first semifinal in Islamabad on Wednesday, November 19. India led 2-0 at the interval.In a one-sided contest, Indumathi opened the scoring for India in the 23rd minute only for Bala Devi to double the lead in the 31st minute. Bala with her strike took her tally of goals to 12, the highest in the Tournament so far.Changing over, Parameshwori Devi scored the third almost immediately after resumption in the 48th minute. Thereafter, Indumathi scored her second of the match in the 69th minute to make it 4-0 for India. Kamala Devi completed the rout scoring from the spot in the 72nd minute.
