TAL Crystal Ball: Gameweek 5 Division 4

Brothers United have scored a ridiculous 17 goals in their past two games!

With the season reaching the midway mark the table is starting to take shape. Bangalore City FC and Simba Sports have been unassailable in their performances and have maintained a 100% record with 4 wins in 4 games. Kammanhattan All Stars sit currently in third while Brothers United and United 4th Phase also have an outside shot at the title. Rangers, Aces and Pegasus occupy the bottom three places.

7:30 AM - The Aces v Pegasus FC

The opening match of GW 5 has two of the bottom three teams playing when Aces take on Pegasus. Aces have put in some good performances and have picked up two draws but the win has been elusive. Pegasus have added a few players before the transfer window ended to bolster their squad and will be hoping that move pays off. Both teams will be desperate for wins so expect them to come out guns blazing.

8:45 AM – Rangers FC v United 4th Phase FC

The second game of the day has Rangers FC taking on United 4th Phase FC. Rangers have had a tough schedule so far and have played most of the top teams, which can be attributed to their poor from. They come up against United 4th this week, another top team, and they will have to be on their ‘A’ game if they are to pull off a result here.

United 4th Phase stumbled to a 5 – 0 loss last week to BCFC, and coupled with their loss to Simba in GW 3, their title challenge seems to be derailed, but promotion is still up for grabs. They need to get back to winning ways to avoid losing out on that too.

10:00 AM – Dragons AFC v Brothers United

The third game of the day has Dragons AFC taking on Brothers United. Both teams are coming off impressive wins in GW 4 and will want to continue that form. Dragons have lost an important player in Kyetok Kyab and will need a suitable replacement in midfield while Brothers United have come into good form over the past two games, scoring a ridiculous 17 goals in those two encounters. We expect this to be a low-scoring match given how evenly matched they are.

Crystal Ball: Dragons AFC 1 – 1 Brothers United

11:15 AM – Can-a-bees FC v Tornadoes FC

The fourth match has Can-a-bees taking on in-form Tornadoes. Can-a-bees put up a resilient fight in GW 4 against Kammanhattan but eventually lost the game owing to late goals. Tornadoes dismantled The Aces in their previous game and after a slow start, seem to be picking up steam. Can-a-bees have made some important additions to their squad, which had helped them in their past two games and will be hoping to upset Tornadoes. Both teams like to attack so expect a goal fest.

12:45 PM – Simba Sports FC v Kammanhattan All Stars

The headliner of the day features league leaders Simba Sports FC taking on third placed Kammnhattan All Stars. Simba have been in ravishing form and scored 11 goals past Pegasus in their last outing but more importantly haven’t dropped any points yet.

Kammanhattan have won three on the trot and can't afford to drop any points in a potential six-pointer; lose this game and their title shot is gone, win this game and they stay on track. We expect this to be a cracker of a game, and while both sides have good attacking personnel, the one with the better defence will determine the result.

Crystal Ball: Simba Sports FC 3 – 2 Kammanhattan All Stars

2:15 PM – Royal Eagles FC v Bangalore City FC B

The final game of the day has Royal Eagles taking on Bangalore City FC B. Royal Eagles succumbed to a defeat last week against Brothers and shipped in 7 goals surprisingly. BCFC came out on top in style in a tough encounter against United 4th Phase FC in GW 4 and have now officially stamped their mark on the title race. Royal Eagles will have to put up a defensive masterpiece if they are to hold off the dangerous BCFC attack line.
