The most improved players for Manchester United this season

We look at the most improved players for Manchester United this season.

  1. Rafael da Silva: the Brazilian right back can be told as the most improved player for Manchester United this season. From the start of the season he has been the most consistent player for the Red Devils, not only defensively he’s become strong but also he’s an attacking full back. The sad part of Rafael is that he was not called up for Brazil during the international breaks. I think Manchester United have found their new Gary Neville, the only tough test for Rafael will be that, will he be consistent the next season or he’ll run out of his form.
  2. David De Gea: this player is worth appreciation from all the Manchester United fans; he took a lot of criticism from many experts, but had to ignore them all. By ignoring all the criticism he got and just by concentrating on his goal keeping, has improved him a lot. De Gea is a big game player for the Red Devil’s. His game against Madrid in the 1st leg was the best for him in a united shirt till date. With keeping 6 clean sheets in row, the boy has improved a lot this season, and developing into a great goal-keeper. The Spanish shot stopper can go on to be the next van Der Sar or Peter Schmeichel.
  3. Patrice Evra: this player had almost forgotten what was defending for past two years. With Alexander Buttner scoring a goal on his debut and with rock solid defensive display, has alarmed Evra. It’s the Buttner effect that has worked, for Evra to defend solidly. This season Evra has not only defended well, but helped winger’s while attacking. Also Evra has got 4 goals to his name this term. Which show’s that Evra woke up after watching that performance from Buttner.
  4. Phil Jones: another bright prospect for Manchester United and England. Though most of his season has been set back due to injuries. Though when ever Jones was given a chance to play, he played very solid in which ever position he has played. Especially in games like Tottenham, Everton and Real Madrid. He literally kept Bale, Fellani and Ronaldo under his pocket. The way he has played this season with limited chances, it looks like he’ll become a very good player in coming seasons. Also he can be a future captain at the club, with his great commanding abilities.

Conclusion: with many young players’ improving this season, this clearly shows a picture that the future of Manchester United looks bright. And also these players have gained adequate experience in all competitions, which will benefit them further.
