Steven Gerrard has announced his retirement from professional football. Former Liverpool and England captain has ended his 19-year playing career. He played 710 times for the Liverpool before MLS side LA Galaxy in 2015. He has won eight major trophies in his career.
The midfielder has made 114 appearances and captained the side at three of the six major tournaments he played at.
