The 2018 U-13 Youth League has come down to these top sides locking horns in the judgment day of the league. Mohammedan Sporting Club and Minerva Punjab U-13’s will be taking each other on in the finale of the league, and will be battling for the glorious prize.
Having hushed their critics by booking their spot in the finale, Md Sporting Club have proved how lethal they can be as a unit, this season. While on the other hand, Minerva Punjab have had the season of their lives – be it their senior team, who went on to win the I-League earlier this year, or youth side that conquered the U-15 title.
While the club from Punjab will be travelling away to the Vidyasagar Stadium in Barasat for this game, they will be heading in as favourites to clinch victory against home side Mohammedan SC.
Having pulled off a shocker against SAI East Zone by overpowering the side by a scoreline of two goals to nil in the semi-final stages of the youth league, the Young Panthers will require to pull off some real tricks from the hat in order to claim the final trophy against Minerva Punjab, who shunned a soaring Sudeva FC with an emphatic 5-0 victory to enter the finale of the Youth League.
Since both the teams have been unbeaten in the competition so far, it will be a nail biter clash between two sides who have displayed top quality football throughout the season.
