Vasco SC dominated right from the word go playing some delightful and intricate football. Manjunath Rathod put Vasco SC ahead in the 2nd minute with a simple tap in. Manjunath scored three more goals in the first half. Boy Singh and Thanil scored a brace each in the first half and skipper Rahul Das strike gave them a 9-0 lead at the interval.
With the ‘tiki-taka’ passing and lots of samba flavour all from the Vasco SC youth development partners Brasil Futebol Academia, Vasco were irresistible and so it proved in the second period as well.
Vasco SC completely overwhelmed the opposition by laying siege on United Club of Utorda’s goal. The goalkeeper made some impressive saves in the start of the 2nd half before Boy rounded the keeper to complete his hattrick. Thanil and Rahul also got their hattricks in the second half. Rahul had an outstanding game in the middle and almost everything that Vasco created went through him. Romario Barretto on as a substitute for Manjunath scored a brace in the closing minutes adding further gloss to an imperious display.
United Club of Utorda scored a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the match in what was the last action of the match.
