Two legends of yesteryear, Kaka and David Villa faced off last weekend as two of the MLS’ newest franchises, Orlando City and New York City FC marked their debuts in the League. The match ended in a draw, with the scoreline ending at 1-1.
Kaka scored a heavily deflected free-kick to salvage a late draw after his team, Orlando City, were reduced to 10 men.
The Brazilian is maybe well past his prime, when he was regarded as one of the best modern-day no.10s in the world. However, the former AC Milan and Real Madrid star is still a winner at heart and was not shy to share his never-say-die attitude.
The 32-year-old delivered a short, crisp and rousing pre-match pep talk to his new team-mates in the dressing room.
