The teaser shows what gamers can expect when FIFA 17 is released on 29 September

Brace yourselves, gamers. FIFA 17 is coming!

EA Sports released a reveal trailer that shows exactly what football fans can expect in the all-new edition that is set to be available on sale worldwide on 29 September. It will be available on all platforms, namely PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, XBox One, XBox 360 and PC.

The new trailer features Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez. It also includes a narration by new United manager Jose Mourinho.

“People say football never changes,” the Portuguese boss says at the start of the video. The trailer then goes on to show how the EA Sports FIFA franchise has evolved over the years from a complex 2D game to a realistic 3D experience.

“We see it differently,” Mourinho continues. “Football has changed.”

The video then goes on to show snippets of how they capture the faces of various players and their movements using motion sensors. And then they leave the best for last – FIFA 17 will be powered by Frostbite!

Frostbite is an engine developed by the famous Battlefield creators and it was designed to be used on all platforms. Recent games that have used this engine include Need for Speed, Star Wars Battlefront and the much-awaited Battlefield 1.

The full reveal will be released on 12 June.
