Video: Stephen Constantine's special message for Indian colts ahead of 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup

India is all set for its moment is the sun, with the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup just a couple of days away. With the India U-17 side set to kick off their campaign at the marquee event with a Group A match against USA, the senior national team had a rather special message for the colts.

The senior national team is currently training at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, ahead of their 2019 AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Macau on October 11.

In the video, India head coach Stephen Constantine is seen, with the entire Indian squad, and the support staff, standing on the pitch at the Andheri Sports Complex, as they wish the young colts all the best for the upcoming event.

This is the first time that India will be hosting any major FIFA event, which marks the year 2017 as a marquee moment in the history of Indian football. Not only that, but this will also be the first time that an Indian team will e participating in a FIFA tournament.

India have been placed in the tricky Group A, which consists of quality opposition like USA, Colombia, and Ghana.

Indian football fans will be hoping that the U-17 team will be able to emulate the success shown by the senior side over the last couple of years; Constantine’s side has gone on an 11-match unbeaten run.

The Blue Tigers had also climbed to their highest FIFA ranking in two decades – 96. However, they have experienced a drop of 11 spots despite not losing a game this year.
