Former Barcelona legend Xavi bade farewell to professional football with a defeat as Al Sadd were thrashed 4-1 by Al Duhail in the Emir Cup final on Thursday.
It was a hard-fought match which ended with four red cards - three for Al Saad and one for Al Duhail.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino watched the match alongside the Emir of Qatar Shikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani as the Al Janoub Stadium, one of the venues of the 2022 World Cup, was inaugurated.
