Zidane 'we were better than Barcelona' in 0-0 El Clasico draw
Zinedine Zidane believes his Real Madrid side ''deserved more'' as they ''played better'' than Barcelona in their 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, the first goalless El Clasico in 17 years.

Ernesto Valverde also admitted Madrid dominated and created a lot of pressure, as his side maintained their slender advantage on goal difference over their arch-rivals at the top of La Liga.

Protestors and riot police clashed outside the stadium, with plastic trash cans set on fire.

The match was halted briefly when a few dozen balls were thrown onto the field, some of them bearing a message which urged the Spanish government to open up a dialogue with Catalan separatists.
