What is the lore behind Wendell in Fortnite?

Wendell uses a unique character model that is fitting for this one-of-a-kind character. With the character joining the ranks of other animal-themed skins like Meowscles and Doggo, Wendell has managed to stand out as an avatar in the Metaverse.
