League table and awards from the final week of HFL
Final roundup of the second season of the HFL.
The second season of Honda HFL came to a close this Sunday with the semi-finals and finals of the Knock-out Cup and a glittering closing ceremony which was attended by close to 500 people.
Ace Tollywood actor Prudhvi and the Head Coach and owner of Fateh Hyderabad AFC Mr. Yogesh Murya were special guests at the event which also saw a few players from Fateh Hyderabad AFC play in a charity game with talented underprivileged children who were selected for free coaching.
In a very closely contested league where the top three places were not decided till the last day, Deccan Sporting managed to get the better of their closest competition Hexa United with just 2 points separating them. The Invincibles clinched the 3rd spot with just 2 goals separating them from Nemesis.
Deccan Sporting also managed to win the Knock-Out Cup by beating Rossoneri 2-0 and thereby doing the double this season. CEO of Amaze Adds and Media Group Mr. Ismail Mirza presented the winners with a cheque worth 2 lakh rupees and the Trophy while the runners-up, Hexa United, received 1 lakh rupees.
Ananth Udamala of Honda Motorcycles gave away a Honda CB Hornet bike to the Most Valuable Player of the Season, Fazeel Ahmed of Hexa United, for his outstanding goalscoring record and major contribution to the team.
