Ryan Giggs’ Mumbai will look to continue their winning start against Michel Salgado’s Kochi

Day two of the Premier Futsal League sees the two teams who didn't play on the opening night get their campaign going. Their opponents will be the two teams who got wins on Friday. The first match on Saturday sees Mumbai take on Kochi.

The match will see marquee players Ryan Giggs and Michel Salgado go head-to-head, even on the field, considering Giggs’ role as a winger and Salgado's position as a defender. It will be interesting to see the Manchester United legend go up against the Real Madrid ace, and the outcome of their duel could possibly have a bearing on the result of this fixture.

Team News

Mumbai got off to a winning start beating the home team Chennai 4-2 yesterday. The team looked in fine fettle and seemed to play with a lot of organisation and understanding. They were clearly better than Chennai and were 2-0 up at halftime and 4-0 up before Chennai got two goals back.

Foglia, who was the man-of- the-match in the encounter was the best player of the night, both matches combined. He looked really up for it. Ramirez was the other one who impressed and his partnership with Foglia created a lot of problems for Chennai. These two will be the danger men again.

Ryan Giggs had a good solid start. He stuck true to his winger blood by going to the sideline every time he got the ball, preferring to set up a teammate than go for goal. He had two assists in the game. All in all, a promising start for Mumbai, and they looked the best of the four teams yesterday. Luis Amado in goal is a rock and amongst the best in the game and getting the better of him is going to be tough as Chennai found out yesterday.

The Kochi team is headlined by former Real Madrid right-back Michel Salgado. The Spaniard, who was a part of the early 2000s Madrid side that won two UEFA Champions League titles, was a constant presence on the touchline last evening despite his team not being in action. Hopefully he got a good eye in on the Mumbai team, with some takeaways to share with his teammates.

Gekabert and Deivis Moraes will be the main attackers for Kochi. Chaguinha is the other one who has been marked as one to watch out for.

Going on form, Mumbai look really good, and if they play as well they could come away with another win.
