Assassin’s Creed: Rogue has been released on time for PC and it has received a patch on the first day of release. The game tells the tale of Shay Patric Cormac, a young initiate of the Assassin Brotherhood. Cormac grows disillusioned with his new gang when he comes to face the fact that they are not the stand-up guys that he assumed them to be.
The unpleasantness that rolls in leads to Cormac switching sides and much of the game is actually played as a Templar, the sworn enemies of the Assassins. This seems to be a technical failure but given the plot of the game, I suppose we could rule it out.
With the launch of this much-awaited game, came the launch day patch. Here is what the patch was meant to do.
- Minor Fix – UI
- Minor Fix – Graphics
- Minor Fix – Uplay Actions/Rewards
- Minor Fix – various Resolution issues
This could mean two things, either Assassin’s Creed Rogue went out in really good shape or the week is going to turn into a nightmare for Ubisoft. I hope it is the former as Rogue is an older engine than unity.
