Black Ops 3 to be the next Call of Duty game as per analyst reports?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

There have been many rumors surrounding what the next Call of Duty game will be. According to latest reports research firm SuperData suggests that Treyarch is making Black Ops 3. This is in contrast to other rumors that suggest that the next Call of Duty game would be a sequel to the World at War series.

There is a report that talks about Activision’s ability to hold on to the top spots with Destiny and Call of Duty. Activision says that the success “sets the stage for the hotly anticipated fall release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.”

SuperData’s research hit its mark again when it made a claim stating that a new Resident Evil game would be hitting the stores this fall. That is not all; the research firm is expecting more information to “come down the pipe this year.”

SuperData has also pointed to an announcement made by Activision’s Eric Hirshberg that confirmed Treyarch’s role in developing Black Ops 3. According to the announcement, “it stands to reason that he’s referring to Black Ops III.”

Nothing can be said as of now but given the success of the Black Ops series, Call of Duty fans will not be disappointed if franchise sticks to the modern and future warfare style that it has adopted over the past few titles. Looking at it from Activision’s point of view, the Black Ops games were two of the most popular entries into the shooter.

Gamers need not wait long as Activision usually announces their Call of Duty games around May.

In other news surrounding the Call of Duty franchise, Sledgehammer is still releasing downloadable content for Advanced Warfare. The second DLC, “Ascendance” will be made available on 31st March for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
