Ever since the release of Borderlands 2 back in 2012, the game has been a huge hit among players with many requesting a Borderlands 3 but looks like all they’ll be getting is a possible remaster. The Borderland series has seen three releases so far as well as an episodic game series titled ‘Tales From The Borderlands’ by TellTale Games. And it looks the game series will be getting ‘remastered edition’ some time soon.
In a recent Australian ratings board filing found today, a Borderlands Remastered Edition was listed for release out of the US. The authors have been listed as 2K Australia and Gearbox Software. So this could be the remastered version of Borderlands 2 for the next-gen consoles.
If this is a remastered version of an earlier Borderlands game, then hopefully it will contain all the DLC’s as well as some much-needed fixes for issues that the original game faced. 2K Games have not confirmed which of the three titles in the Borderlands series this will be or if they have any plans to develop a Borderlands 3. Fans would probably be more excited about the latter than just another remaster. Hopefully they will make the announcement on the remastered Edition of Borderlands some time soon.
