Call of Duty Advanced Warfare gets double xp weekend and two new playlists

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

With the new Havoc DLC slated to release this coming Tuesday, Slegdehammer Games are now holding a double XP weekend to get players ready for the oncoming Exo Zombie chaos. They will also be adding two new playlists to the game which players can try out this weekend.

According to the Sledgehammer Blog post, the double XP weekend starts from January 23rd at 9AM PST and ends on Monday the 26th at 9AM PST. The Havoc DLC will be launching the very next day, on the 27th. The developers will also be adding two new Advanced Warfare playlists this weekend to keep players entertained before the big release.

Owing to the success of last month’s Most Pit Playlist, the developers have decided to add a Hardcore Most Pit which will challenge players by pitting them up against a mix of game types with limited Health and HUD. This is sure to excite hardcore gamers who liked the previous Mosh Pit playlist but want something a bit more challenging. The next playlist that players can try out is the fan voted ‘Comeback 24/7’ which narrowly beat out the ‘Detroit’ map. You can check out the description for these two playlists below:

Hardcore Mosh Pit - Features a mix of Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Search and Destroy on a variety of maps. You’ll find the same limited HUD, decreased health, and that friendly fire is turned on for our Hardcore players.

24/7 Comeback -- In this new Community Playlist, you'll find "24/7 Comeback" with a variety of game modes like Team Deathmatch, Uplink, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and more. This playlist will be live just during this weekend.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. The Havoc DLC is the first expansion for the game and will feature four new multiplayer maps as well as Exo Zombies and a star-studded co-op mode.
