Dragon Ball Xenoverse players are having trouble connecting to the games online servers

Dragon Ball Xenoverse players have been facing some major connection issues since the game’s release this past week. Many have taken to Twitter to complain about the games servers, which are either down or not working. Players who have tried to connect to the server have stated that it’s already full. This issue seems to affecting every platform that the game has released on.

Players were already sceptical about game’s servers when Bandai Namco announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s Steam release on their official Facebook page. In fact, one of the first posts on the announcement was from a user who claimed they he could not play the game for a mere 5 minutes before getting kicked out. The rest of the comments that followed were about games terrible servers.

Bandai Namco has responded with the following statement:

“Dear Dragon Ball Xenoverse players,

You may be facing some issues to log on to Dragon Ball Xenoverse servers but be assured that we are taking care of this situation to fix it as soon as possible.

As of today and mainly on Playstation 4, you may face:
– Denied connection to the server
– Denied connection to single or multiplayer lobbies
– Unintentional log out after entering lobbies

In order to confirm the issues and solve them, we are working on:
– Tweaking servers configuration to adapt requirement of each platforms
– Keep on raising the log on limit for servers
– Changing settings of server database to improve stability.

When these changes will be applied to the servers, they may cause unintentional log out during gameplay or “server maintenance” status.

We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused and thank you for your patience. We will post regularly updates about our efforts.”

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is currently available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out our review of the game here.
