It appears that players wont be able to drive a car in the demo of the highly anticipated game Final Fantasy XV. In a recent interview with Polygon Final Fantasy XV director, Hajime Tabata confirmed that there would be no driving for players in the demo of the game (expected to start in March). Tabata justified this decision of the development team saying that they did not want to signal a notion that this is a “driving game”, thus the team decided to undo their initial decision of letting players drive cars in the games demo.
In the trailers of the game we have noticed Noctis and company riding around in a car it would be rather disappointing for the players since they would not be able to do the same in the demo of the game. Tabata explained that they took this step to preserve the essence of exploration they intend to provide thus making the players “more familiar to long-time players of the series“.
