Techland’s upcoming survival horror game Dying Light will be getting a new digital release date in Europe and Australia. The game was initially set to release in January but this was delayed in a number of countries. Physical copies of the game will now be available on February 27th while digital copies will be available on January 28th.

Players who have pre-order physical copies of Dying Light will be getting two free DLC packs with their purchase, namely the Cuisine & Cargo Pack and Ultimate Survivor Bundle. However, the developers will also be releasing a free ‘Be the Zombie’ multiplayer mode with every copy as a thank you to players for their continued support. The mode will allow players to take on the role of a zombie and invade other player’s games.

The announcement comes after it was revealed that physical production had a role to play in the games delay. Techland explained that they are not in charge of the games distribution. Considering the fact that Dying Light went Gold earlier this month, the delay was definitely not due to a development reason.

“The game will have a global digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC of January 27, 2015.” Techland has stated. “As physical production has a longer lead time than digital there is some delay in the aforementioned territories. We will share information on the availability of physical copies as soon as it is confirmed.”

Dying Light will be out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the gameplay trailer for the title here.
