Dying Light's free DLC includes new Skins and a Hard Mode

Dying Light

Techlands zombie survival horror title, Dying Light, launched just two weeks ago and the developers are already set to release a new free DLC for the game. According to the teams official announcement on Twitter, the free expansion will consist of new skins as well as Hard Mode. This is good news for players who have been requesting an increased difficulty for the open-world title, many of whom have now resorted to using the Super Aggressive Zombies Mod.

The update is expected to arrive sometime in March, though it may release earlier, depending on how long Techland takes to develop the new content. The Hard mode will turn the difficulty level up a notch by pitting players in more difficult night time scenarios with “more vicious” zombies. Players will also find fewer resources and supplies to aid them, so more stealth and silence will be necessary.

According to producer, Tymon Smektala, the main aim of this DLC is to present a new challenge for players who have already completed the game:

"A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we're going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that.”

The recent tweet also states that the DLC is the “first of many additions to come” for Dying Light. This is sure to keep the gamers entertained for many months to come. Hopefully these add-ons are free. Besides this, players can also purchase the Dying Light Season Pass, which is priced at $19.99 and offers access to three new content packs. Dying Light is currently available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
