EA to make "special announcement" at this year's Game Awards

With the first ever Game Awards 2014 being held today, there’s bound to be a lot of announcements by various game studios. Sadly, Bethesda Studios have confirmed that they will be not revealing anything new which is a bit disappointing for Fallout fans. EA on the other hand, is now in the spotlight after they recently tweeted that they have a “special announcement” planned for The Game Awards.

There hasn’t been much news from EA lately other than all its sports releases and the recent The Sims 4, which released to pretty mediocre reviews. Besides these, they also have the upcoming Battlefields: Hardline lined up which isn’t expected anytime soon. But with their recent announcement of some special news, EA has thrust itself into the limelight once more .

According to the latest tweet by Peter Moore of EA, he will be joining Geoff Keighley to make the “special announcement” from EA.

And while this may just be another announcement on their upcoming title Battlefield: Hardline or even their other two franchises Mass Effect or Madden, Geoff Keighley feels that this particular announcement won’t be that dull. According to the latest tweet by Keighley, the announcement may involve something even better. Keighley tweeted the following:

Pretty sure no one will guess this one! See you Friday

So this could mean anything from a new IP or something even more surprising. But whatever it might, it’s bound to keep fans guessing. Check out the first ever Game Awards 2014, airing today 5th, December. The event is being held in Las Vegas and can be viewed live on Youtube, Twitch TV, NicoNico, Steam and consoles.
