Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta is now live

Those who have purchased Halo: The Master Chief Collection can finally access the Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta starting from today. The Beta has already been available for a little over a week for all those who enrolled in the Xbox Live Dashboard Preview Program. But now owners of The Master Chief Collection can finally try the beta out as well which will give them a taste of what the future game will play like.

The Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta eta will be available at 9 AM Pacific | 11 AM Central | 12 PM Eastern time and will run between today and January 18th. 343 Industries and Microsoft have also announced that they plan to roll out new content throughout this period which will include access to more weapons, maps and modes.

Halo 5 is slated to release sometime in the Fall of 2015 exclusively for the Xbox One. The game has almost a year till its release and 343i is already looking to get some fan feedback, calling the beta “work-in-progress snapshot of a game in production.”

Meanwhile, Halo: The Master Chief Collection received a huge holiday update which included some much needed matchmaking fixes and the Halo 4: Spartan Ops mode for free. The Master Chief Collection had a rocky launch this year but 343 Industries have released many updates to fix these issues since.

Microsoft will also be adding Halo 3: ODST to The Master Chief Collection to make up for the rocky launch.
