Hearts of Iron IV release date postponed to late Q2 2015

Paradox Development Studios have announced that the release of their upcoming grand strategy title Hearts of Iron IV has been delayed to late Q2 of this year. The developers originally planned a release window of Q1 2015 but have stated that they were “a tad optimistic” with the original date. The games release has now been pushed back to late Q2 2015. Here is their statement:

“Hearts of Iron IV is a very ambitious undertaking and we might have been a tad optimistic with the original Q1 2015 date that was communicated. Hearts of Iron IV is our most complex game with massive scale as well as a lot of systems and details you need to get right. Its a lot of work to make it as good as we want it to be.” – Hearts of Iron IV Project Lead Dan Lind

So players will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the strategy title. Hearts of Iron IV is a sequel to strategy title Hearts of Iron III. The game is set in the WWII period between 1930 and 1940. In a recent Ask Me Anything thread on Reddit, Paradox Development Studios Manager Johan Anderson promised that Hearts of Iron IV will have better AI and accessibility compared to its predecessor.

Hearts of Iron III received favourable reviews after the release of several patches which corrected the games bugs and glitches. This is probably the reason why the developers are taking it slow with Hearts of Iron IV.
