Johnny Cage to return in Mortal Kombat X

A few days ago we had informed you that a few familiar faces, namely Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kenshi, Jax Briggs, are expected to return in Mortal Kombat X. Well NetherRealm has officially confirmed that Johnny Cage WILL be there, along with his daughter Cassie Cage. And this comes from NetherRealm Studios' senior producer Adam Urbano.

We’ve seen this in a video interview with Game Crate at GDC. Unfortunately, the video has been taken down from YouTube. Urbano has explicitly confirmed that Johhny Cage will be a playable character in Mortal Kombat X. He also gave a green light to speculations about Kenshi’s presence which had been rumoured after Warner Bros. released screenshots of the blind fighter in a mobile version of Mortal Kombat X.

"You'll get to play as Johnny Cage, but we're also showing Cassie Cage, who is the daughter of Sonya and Johnny," Urbano said. "You'll get a chance to see Kenshi and a chance to see a couple more."

Asked about his favourite brutality in the upcoming fighter-game, Urbano said, "Actually Johnny's. It's quick and it's brutal." However he played down the speculations of animalities and babalities.Johnny Cage brings the list of confirmed Mortal Kombat X up to 19 (or 20 if Kenshi is confirmed), with more characters likely to be revealed before the game's release in April.
