Kevin Burner steps in as TellTale Games new CEO, announces original IP

Former president and co-founder of TellTale Games Kevin Bruner will be taking over the CEO position from fellow co-founder Dan Connors starting from today. Connors will remain with the company as an executive advisor. TellTale Games have grown immensely since its formation back in 2004. The Studio is now a major player in the gaming industry after a string of critically acclaimed releases like The Walking Dead Season One and Two, The Wolf Among Us, and the recent ongoing series Game of Thrones, and Tales from the Borderlands. The company has also partnered up with developers Mojang to create a new Story Mode for Minecraft.

TellTale Games has a lot planned for the future included some new partnerships and an original game. The company has partnered up with developers Mojang to create a new Minecraft: Story Mode. Burner also announced that the developers are working on an original IP:

“Each year since Telltale’s 2004 birth has been more exciting than the last, and 2015 will be no exception,” he stated. “We’re thrilled to continue our growth and bring our unique style of scripted entertainment to the next generation of digital media, and do that across thousands of different devices. Our top priority is to continue fostering an environment where the most talented and creative storytellers in the industry are working side by side with the world’s biggest creative partners. We’re already working on some of the biggest franchises in entertainment, and when you add our unannounced partnerships and upcoming original IP, it’s clear the most exciting time to be at Telltale is now, and there will continue to be more and more opportunity to innovate ahead of us.”

So far TellTale has worked on licensed titles like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, so it will be exciting to see how their original title will turn out.
