KH 2.5 event unveils new Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser footage

Kingdom Hearts 3

The much awaited HD collection for Kingdom Hearts with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is now finally available but fans of the series are even more excited about the conclusion of the Xehanort trilogy with Kingdom Hearts 3.

Square Enix had recently held a special fan event KH 2.5 in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of the HD collection where they managed to surprise fans by releasing a new tease for Kingdom Hearts 3 towards the end of the event.

The teaser clip starts with some of the concept art for the new Heartless, which includes a new Blue Rhapsody type, as well as a soldier type with wings and a tiny archer. A 3D model was included in the teaser as well which looked like a gladiator type.

Sora is also displayed in the teaser with his gear from Kingdom Hearts II, holding the Oathkeeper key blade which now transforms into a large gun that Sora can use to shoot with.

The next scene in the teaser shows a new town with white houses and large windmills which many speculated was Daybreak Town from the browser based Kingdom Hearts x, but KH Insider states that it is actually a revamped Land of Departure so gamers who have played Birth by Sleep will be pleasantly surprised.

After this, the camera moves into a building with a chess board. The pieces on the board includes a Mickey head and Sora walks in after and picks up a piece. The teaser clip ends here and promises to release more information on the game sometime in 2015.

Unfortunately, those that did not attend the event will not be able to view the clip as it was deemed too raw to be released to the general public, so the only way to view it is probably through a leak. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix released yesterday October 2nd for the PS3. Check out the trailer for the game here.
