Latest DLC teases the return of Rock Band?

Rock Band has ruled over the music game genre for a while now. It has surpassed games like Guitar Hero but the game became over saturated and this led to the slow death of both the series. However, Harmonix may already have started the teasing that will eventually end with Rock Band coming back to the gaming world in style.

In the recent past we have downloaded DLC songs even though the release of DLC stopped a while ago. Two new songs are all set to be a part of the game, one from Tenacious D and one from Weezer. Now, we would not bother much about new songs being added but the part we found intriuging was that both the songs revolve around coming back.

Tenacious D’ “Rise of the Fenix” from their 2012 album is self-explanatory. The pheonix dies and rises back from the dead to make a majestic return. Weezer’s “Back to the Shack” comes from their new album and implies that something is coming back. Is this mere coincidence or could we be looking at a possible return of the game, Rock Band 4.

Both the songs are available for download on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 for $1.99 each.
