Following its release on Xbox One late last year, it appears that PlayDead’s platformer Limbo is also set to get a PlayStation 4 release - following a new PEGI listing at the turn of the year. A listing for a PlayStation 4 release recently appeared on the European ratings board PEGI’s website, similar to the one that appeared on the ESRB shortly before the release of the Xbox One version.

Listed for the beginning of January, the game is suitable for players aged 16 and over, as it contains "realistic looking violence". First released in 2010, Limbo has appeared on numerous platforms, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Vita and iOS. It was recently given away for free as part of Microsoft's one-year Xbox One anniversary. Running at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, the game has since made its full Xbox One debut, retailing at £7.99 ($9.99).

Limbo is a black-and-white puzzle platformer in which a young boy roams a dangerous, haunting world in search of his sister. The game’s cover was also in our “11 Best video game covers of all time”.
