Microsoft Store lists Mirrors Edge 2 release for 2015

Mirrors Edge 2

A new listing for Mirror’s Edge 2 has popped up on the official Microsoft store that suggests the game may be out in 2015. The Microsoft Store has listed the game with a release year of 2015 for the Xbox One. This is a lot earlier then what many fans had initially predicted.

Users can already pre-order Mirrors Edge 2 from the Microsoft Store. Pre-ordering the game now grants users a $10 Xbox gift card. The offer will be lasting for a whole year and expires on December 31st, 2015. This could further indicate that the game may be out by the end of this year.

Microsoft Stores Mirrors Edge 2 listing

The original Mirrors Edge released back in 2008 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox One. The game did extremely well among critics and fans alike and the developers have hinted at a sequel ever since. Mirror’s Edge is an action-adventure platformer where players take on the role of the protagonist Faith, a runner who tries to prove her sister’s innocence after she is wrongly accused of murdering the Pope.

Mirrors Edge 2 was announced at the E3 event back in 2013 but EA and DICE have been pretty quiet over the games release ever since. They are yet to announce a release date for the game so it’s possible that the Microsoft store release date is just a placeholder. It is also possible that EA might rename the game before its official launch. Fans can expect more information on the upcoming game at E3 later this year.

Mirrors Edge 2 will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and will be priced at $59.99.
