It’s been a few days since Microsoft’s Windows 10 released to the world to rave reviews, but the company are still working on making it even more gaming friendly. Phil Spence, head of X Box, stated in an interview to The Verge that developments are going on to make streaming of PC games to X Box One possible.

“We understand if you’re going to go PC to Xbox, we need to get keyboard and mouse working completely so you could play those games,” says Spencer. “In terms of where we want to go with our platform, those are absolutely in scope of things that we want to do.”

The 45-year-old admitted that streaming PC games to X-Box One was a slightly more complex process than vice versa. “It’s actually a little more challenging doing the encoding on the PC side to the Xbox, but the challenge is good.”

“[Gamers] want to play games on the device that they want to play on. They want to play with their friends and they progress whenever they sit down,” Spencer adds. “Because of that, the roadmap and our focus on what’s going on, Windows is incredibly strong.”

An official release date hasn’t been set, but gamers can take consolation that the process is ongoing.

Spencer is set to jet out to Germany to attend the Gamescom next week, where more developments will be announced.
