Mortal Kombat X may feature microtransactions

NeatherRealms Mortal Kombat X might feature microtransactions according to the game’s marketing manager. In an interview with the IGN, the marketing manager of NetherRealms Studios, Brian Goodman was asked about the microtransactions in the game. He seemed to have been answering in such a manner that he dodges the question and simply refused to provide any such detail by using the word ’yet’. He said,

"We are not releasing any details on that yet," he said when asked if the feature would be included in the upcoming fighter. "Nothing to say about microtransactions yet."

This news might affect the hype that was given to the release of Mortal Kombat X. The game would be launching on 14th of April and the question of having microtransactions might be answered any soon. In this game, pieces are usually unlocked through play, cutting characters or stages out. So the news about featuring microtransactions in such a game might have a detrimental effect.

The comments given by Goodman make it likely to have microtransactions in the upcoming game. The question is how will they be implementing on the game which can be found out only when the game launches for PlayStation3, PlayStation4, Xbox360, Xbox One and PC.
