New Arabian character Shaheen confirmed for Tekken 7 roster

Shaheen to be included as a new character in Tekken 7

Last time, we heard rumors about including a new male Arab Character in the Tekken 7, lot of thoughts were given to the costumes and design part of the character(click here for more details) and now Bandai Namco has now officially confirmed that “Shaheen” will be added to the Tekken 7 roster.

Shaheen is from Saudi Arabia and is a new character for Tekken 7. He was actually revealed as concept art a few months ago, but Bandai Namco wanted approval from fans first before adding him in officially. It looks like the fans liked him, so now he will be a part of the full game.

Tekken 7’s director, Katsuhiro Harada, made the announcement on Twitter. He didn’t reveal too much about the character other than his name and an official character render. He hasn’t changed that much in appearance from when the concept art was revealed months back.

It’s good to know an Arabian character will be making its way to the game. A lot of Middle Eastern Tekken fans gave positive feedback towards the character.Harada teased that even more characters are left to be added in Tekken 7.

The other new characters that have been announced for the game include Katarina Alves, Claudio Sefarino and Lucky Chloe. Another new character could be Kazuya’s mother, Kazumi, who was seen during the game’s first trailer. Tekken 7 is to be released first in Japanese arcades in early 2015.
