ArenaNet’s hit MMORPG, Guild Wars 2, is all set to get its first ever expansion this year. ‘The Heart of Thorns’ expansion takes place after the events of the current living story and will feature new maps, a new profession, mastery system, guild halls, and more. Now the team has released a new video showcasing one of of the expansions World vs World maps.
The new video premiered at the Rezzed Convention in U.K this weekend. While the team has already revealed the dense Maguuma Jungle map, the new map focuses on the Desert Borderlands environment. The video also gives us a glimpse of some PvP action, rather than just previewing the map. The new environment will replace the games current Borderlands map with a new desert theme. It will also feature elemental keeps, towers, terrain-integrated forts, and a map-wide Oasis event. The expansion will also add some new siege weapons that players can use in these maps.
Heart of Thorns is the first ever expansion for Guild Wars 2. The game released back in 2012 and is available now for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS.
