Nintendo might come out with more of these rare amiibos

The English slides from the third quarter of the financial report by Nintendo has been released and as suspected it is full of interesting stuff and the most amazing piece of records that was hiding in the swath of information was perhaps the only record that amiibo hunters would be interested in reading. When it came to the subject of discussing the sell through rates for some of the amiibo figures Nintendo pointed out that how fast the figures were sold out. Some of these figures were sold out shortly after launch.

Amiibo Sell Through Rate

We will consider additional production in cases such as when an amiibo figure sells out shortly after launch

An official statement from Nintendo reads as follows “It is difficult for us to promise to continuously ship all of the amiibo figures. We will, however, consider additional production in cases such as when an amiibo figure sells out shortly after launch, an amiibo is indispensable to play a certain game, and when we receive a lot of requests for an amiibo figure from consumers and retailers.”

The actual slides released by Nintendo did rank the figures that were sold the most overall however the top sell through rates were attributed to Marth, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Pit, Captain Falcon and other characters fans have been wanting to have since the launch. The shortage prevailed since many of these figures were sold out on the first day of the launch compelling Nintendo to consider some additional production runs of these ultra amiibos.
