Nintendo recently released a new trailer for Monolith Soft’s upcoming visually stunning Xenoblade Chronicles X. The highly anticipated game has not gotten a western release date yet, but hopefully this will be revealed sometime soon.

The trailer does not showcase any gameplay as such and instead focuses on the various environments and alien inhabitants that can be found in Xenoblade Chronicles X. The trailer follows three of the game’s characters as they embark on a journey across the games maps, this in turn reveals just how massive the game world will be. You can check out the graphically stunning trailer below:

The game is set in 2054 where Earth’s inhabitants had to evacuate the planet after it was damaged due to a war between two hostile aliens. Players will have to take control of a passenger aboard the human colonizing ship, the White Whale, which is shot down over the alien world of Mira.

Unlike the previous game, Xenoblade Chronicles X will feature a lot of mecha elements. This includes ‘Dolls’ which are similar to the Gears found in Xenogears. The game will also have the same battle system as the previous titles.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is part of the ongoing Xeno series. The game is a spiritual successor to Xenoblade Chronicles which released back in 2010 for the Wii. The game will be releasing sometime in 2015 for the Wii U.
