Raven’s Cry Is an Action Adventure ,role playing game developed by Reality Pump Studious and published by Top Ware Interactive. It is compatible for MS Window X,XBOX 360,XBOX ONE,PS 3 and PS 4.The game is expected to be good in graphics and revolves around the ruthless pirate culture. The game is to be slated to be released on December 2014.

Game Plot

The game has this young Scottish guy “Christopher Raven” who travels with his family to the new world escaping the nightmare on earth. But then the pirates the attack his ship near Jamaica.

Reality Pump Studios has recreated the world of the 18th century Caribbean in painstaking detail, leaving behind the family-friendly tropes common to portrayals of this era and instead bringing you a gritty, realistic pirate experience like you’ve never seen before and also he loses his hand in the game.

Players have to deal with The rolling waves and their secrets kept far beneath in the dark alleys and curved cobbled roads all teeming with murderous miscreants and loudly drunken braves, the prophets of the bottle, the blade, and the flintlock gun.

The major cities are found in Raven's Cry from the unsavory pirate holdfast of Port Royal to the elegant avenues of luscious Havana, to a lost Aztec City deep in the jungles of the Spanish Main.

Gameplay

The Story is divided into different chapters, where Christopher is taking on particular pirate “Neville Scranton” who he believes is the main culprit for his family demise. Thus he in on the go ,on a massacre of taking the vengeance .There are various new environments such as Caribbean Port towns and Aztec lands.

Aso we know that Christopher loses his hand, it has been replaced by a hook and also you will get a raven familiar to support you against the enemies.

Also you have features like morality system, side-quests, and magic items which can increase character attributes. Systems for 'Fear' and 'Notoriety' make the world around you react to your actions and choices.

Killing enemies makes you accumulate 'Fear' which you can use to scare enemies away or as a super attack. The consequence is that everyone in range becomes hostile if you didn't scare them off.

'Notoriety' is increased as you do your murderous thing and similar to Assassin's Creed II's notoriety system with posters on the wall you can rip off. Opponents bleed and suffer which affects the moral aspects of the game. Pirate charms will let you become invincible, summon ravens to rip enemies to shreds, boost attack speed and damage, and even cast some magic.

Players can immerse themselves in a living, breathing environment just begging to be explored, complete with realistic period architecture and geography. Slash, sail, and shoot your way through a main storyline of 25 hours, along with several side quests, and discover new islands, hidden treasures, and action-packed adventures.

Starting out in the filthy, rum-soaked ports of the Caribbean, players will travel to wealthy towns rife with political intrigue, beautiful plantations belonging to ruthless slave-owners, savage South American jungles filled with restless natives, and uncharted mercenary island hideouts.

Combat is your general button mashing approach, with four basic moves on offer - a light attack, a heavy attack, a counter/parry, and a dodge. You also have four special moves that can spice things up, and offer additional rewards, if you can mange to pull them off.

From kicks to "hook strikes", and even ordering your weird raven, who constantly circles overhead, to go and peck a pirate in the shin, all of the attacks are upgradable, like most other things in Raven's Cry.

Winning battles will earn you experience, which in turn will unlock new abilities in your skill tree, letting you decrease the damage your ship takes, earn more cash from gambling, or a myriad other options.

Money is an important part of Raven's Cry, and is used to keep all the wheels spinning. From hiring a crew (who need to be paid) to funding repairs on your ship, or upgrades, you'll need to keep a steady stream of money coming in - but how you do that is up to you.

If you're feeling nice, you could take the trade approach. Each island has a market, and each market has its own economy, offering different prices for goods. If one sells bread at a bargain basement price, while the other wants to buy it for a small fortune, you can buy up a load of bread from the one, sail it across the Caribbean, and sell it at the others.

Like Ubisoft's series, Raven's Cry will contain third-person action and real-time naval battles, but unlike Assassin's Creed, Top Ware’s ambitious adventure will feature moral choices and more RPG elements like perks and crew management.

The developer may have even taken a dig at Black Flag in its description of its naval combat. "Raven's Cry is more interested in realism than hand-holding, so you'll find no beams of light showing your cannon-ball trajectory, nor will an auto aim assist you in precision shots to take out your enemies masts," the developer noted on its Steam page.

Final Verdict:

Thus, the game definitely seems exciting looking at the various graphics, pirates, actions as well the game plot. It will be interesting to see how the fans see it considering so many games in the action genre.

Here is a trailer of the game.
