Remastered ClayFighter to arrive in 2016
The game is expected to arrive in 2016

All the nostalgic fun of ClayFighter is coming back soon with all its glory intact and new attractions courtsey of the original developers, Interplay. The game was originally released for the Super Nintendo and it further extended its reach to Sega Genesis and now its all set to come back with familiar faces but packed with loads of fun.

The game has travelled a long way and by the time it reached Nintendo 64 it had created a huge fan following. Owing to this, developer Interplay has taken up the cause of remastering the title for a new generation. Interplay is also partnering with Drip Drop Games to devise a appropriate remaster with more than twenty fighters, the list includes fan-favorites such as Bad Mr. Frosty, Boogerman and Earthworm Jim. Tiny, Blue Suede Goo and Hoppy are also confirmed on the list of fighters. Along with this, there might be twenty familiar environments for the players to battle in. There are many new gameplay elements that will find their way into the game, and this involves features like double-jumping, air dashing, counters and reversals.

It will be interesting to witness if the game still stands strong against the test of time and finds acceptance in the more competitive fighting circles players particiapte in. ClayFighter is scheduled to release on PC in 2016. We hope that players will come together and request a console version.
