Rumour: release date and content for Destiny's House of Wolves expansion leaked

According to a recent post on r/DestinyTheGame by user megamanexe4, the game’s second DLC expansion, House of Wolves, is slated to release on May 19th. The user isn’t too good with English but has managed to (quite accurately) translate every detail he has uncovered so far, and has even backed this information up with some convincing images of the gear and weapons included in the expansion.

With the number of levels in the game slated to increase from 32 to 39, these new items should help players achieve the new level cap in no time.

Keep in mind that all of this information is just speculation and rumours as of now and cannot be relied on completely, especially since they are fan-translated versions of the images taken from the Japanese version of Destiny. This means a lot of misinterpretation and mistranslations, but even so, a May 19th launch isn’t too farfetched considering the House of Wolves DLC should be out soon anyways.

The images seem rather convincing and contain a short description of the content. So far, the introduction states the following about the DLC’s contents:

  • New Awoken storyline plus an exclusive Raid
  • 3 new Crucible maps & new Fallen Strike
  • Hundreds of new weapons, armor & gear

If this information is accurate, then Destiny players are in for a treat once the DLC launches. Most users seem to be excited at the mention of “Hundreds” of weapons and gear, something which the previous expansion, The Dark Below, lacked. Hopefully, Bungie will confirm this information in the coming weeks.

If these rumours are true, then players can expect the House of Wolves DLC to hit on May 19th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Destiny also received its latest Crota’s End DLC on January 21st. You can check out more details of this DLC here.
